Artist & Activist Residencies 

Big Sky Rentals supports the creative arts and community causes by offering reduced cost residencies to visiting creative artists and progressive activists.

We will award up to three two-week residencies a year from December to February.

The artist or activist would pay $100 for the two week stay and a cleaning fee.

The residencies are open to out-of-state writers, photographers, musicians, filmmakers, artists, game designers and activists.

At the conclusion of the residency, the artist or activist is expected to provide a short testimonial about the stay and, if possible, an outcome such as a piece of writing, photograph, illustration or report on the activist experience. The testimonials and outcomes will be used by Big Sky to promote the residency program.

To apply, send a resume, work samples and a letter that includes a brief biography, statement of principle, reasons for wanting to visit Oregon, and the nature of your intended project while in residence. Also include the desired weeks or month of your proposed visit. Applications for residencies are accepted year round.
