Caroline was a friendly and attentive host- who has clearly put a lot of love and care into the "sky cabin". It is meticulously decorated with a fun horse/western theme that cowgirls/boys will love! We found the location great for exploring Portland- both the freeway entrance and MAX train are blocks away- and the hip shops and restaurants of NE are a long walk or a short drive away.

Great location, well appointed, comfy beds, quiet, close to a terrific pub and brunch location...we very much enjoyed our month-long stay at Caroline's Western Retreat. Our proximity to a lovely park, easy to get to by walking through a well taken care of community college campus, allowed us to exercise our dog, encountering almost no traffic, twice a day. Access to Tri Met was either a one minute (bus) or five minute (MAX) walk, super convenient. We'd stay here again!

I stayed at Caroline's Sky Cabin for a weekend and had the best time there. The apartment was really clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, there was more than enough space to unpack things, the kitchen was stocked for light cooking (probably could do real cooking, we just did breakfast and snacks there), and the bathroom was big and the shower was great. We didn't have time to enjoy the yard, but it was a good one to look at out the window. The neighborhood has more than enough to do in a short walk and public transportation was easily available. Caroline was an excellent host...checking in and out could not have been easier, she left some delicious treats and coffee for us when we got there, and she made herself very available if we had any questions.

My husband and I, plus our 2 dogs stayed here a couple months while working at the hospital. We could not have asked for a better, more central location, we were 5 minutes from work and downtown, seconds away from several running trails, and about half an hour from snowy slopes and countless hiking trails. The house was more spacious than we'd anticipated and well equipped with everything we could possibly need, especially in the kitchen. The fenced in backyard was also a major convenience with the dogs. Caroline has definitely put a lot of energy into the details of making this rental into an actual home for her guests. We cannot thank her enough for opening her home to us and our dogs, everything about our stay in Bend was wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay at Big Sky Bend. The home was comfortable and made for a great landing after our days canoeing and hiking in the area. It is conveniently located - just minutes away from downtown Bend and other must-try local establishments like the Sparrow Bakery and El Sancho Taco Shop. Our dog gives this home an A+ for its large fenced backyard, good walking/running throughout the neighborhood and overall dog friendly nature of the place. We'll be back!

We had a great stay at Caroline's place. It was really cozy and comfortable and she provided beverages that were much appreciated and delicious. She also has a turntable and album collection which we enjoyed, especially the Dylan album. The kitchen was well appointed with brand spanking new pots and pans and she even had some spices, olive oil and balsamic vinegar which is great for folks like us who fly in and can't bring our own. The house is convenient to grocery shopping, including Whole Foods and Costco and to places downtown. There is plenty to do in and around Bend but you already know that because you are looking to book a place there. Caroline's place is centrally located to activities nearby. The finishing touch on our fabulous stay in Bend, was Caroline's sincere hospitality. She greeted us our first day (she was in Bend that week) and she provided several suggestions for activities and pointed us to maps and brochures in the house binder. She's super friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We would definitely stay at her place again or at her place in Portland if/when we return to Oregon (which is just an awesome state!). She defines what a great VRBO host should be!!

We had such a nice stay in Caroline's home. The location is fantastic for trips to downtown, and all of the fun that Bend has to offer! We didn't want to leave and will hopefully be back :)
